Midway

Terms of use

Last updated 27 August 2026

Midway is not the Minnesota State Fair’s app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Minnesota State Fair or the State Agricultural Society. Where the fair’s schedule and the app disagree, the fair is right.

Using the app

Midway is free. You may use it for your own visit. Do not try to break it, scrape it, or resell what is in it.

The information in it

Schedules, vendors, prices and locations come from the fair’s own published material and from OpenStreetMap, and all of it moves. Events are cancelled, stands change hands, and a pin can be a building’s width off. Treat Midway as a good guess that is usually right, and the fair’s own signage and website as the answer.

Several amenity positions are read off the fair’s printed map, which is an illustration rather than a survey. Those can be tens of metres out.

Walking directions

Routes are drawn over a walking network built from public map data. They do not know about closures, crowds, construction, or which gates are open at which hour. Watch where you are going, follow staff instructions, and do not walk into traffic because a line on a screen went that way.

No warranty

Midway is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It is made carefully by one person and it will still sometimes be wrong.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the maker of Midway is not liable for any loss arising from using it — including a missed show, a closed stand, or a walk that took longer than the app said.

Attribution

Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Weather comes from Open-Meteo and the US National Weather Service. Food and event information comes from the Minnesota State Fair’s published listings. Photographs remain the property of whoever took them and are credited where they appear.
